Once a common site, these houses known as Janet Pre-Cut Houses, were bought onto the island as pre fabricated houses to help people whose homes were destroyed by hurricane Janet in 1955. It is unique vernacular house that needs no preservation. These house can be found all over the island. the house above is situated in Middle River, in Gouyave Estate
