Nimblette, 61, of Paddock, St George’s, Grenada, died February 21,2010, at Beth Israel Hospital, Brooklyn, NY. He was born July 14,1948, in St George’s, Grenada, the son of late Rosalie Austin-Nimblette and Kenneth Nimblette. He was the youngest of 12 siblings. He graduated from St George’s Anglican Senior School, and after various odd jobs, he finally had the opportunity to fulfill his dream of becoming a Merchant Mariner. Selwyn sailed the world’s oceans for several years to follow, always returning to Grenada at every given opportunity. Through his travels, reading, and conversations, he developed a clear understanding of The Holy Bible and was subsequently baptized at the St George’s Seventh Day Adventist Church. In the early 80’s he emigrated to Brooklyn, NY where he worked various odd jobs before joining Carpenters Local Union 926. Selwyn was a passionate advocate of the Seventh Day Adventist Church. He is a member of the New Haven S.D.A Church but visited other Brooklyn area S.D.A churches extensively. His extended church family included Mamre, Maranatha and Brownsville Temple S.D.A churches. His tireless desire to spread the truth about God’s word led him to write and publish “Evidence of Truth…More Than You Know”. He is survived by his son Avery Nimblette, daughter-in-law Melody Nimblette, grandkids Marine & Savannah Nimblette.
